Full Day Dog Sledding Experience

You’ll be immersed in the lifestyle of a north woods dog musher once you arrive at our off-grid homestead tucked away in the remote wilderness of Minnesota’s Arrowhead Region. This promises to be an experience of a lifetime!

The Points Unknown sled dogs are friendly, well behaved and exuberant. They’re always up for adventure and meeting new people. This trip offers the potential for the participants to run their own small team of dogs. Note that a number of factors determine this potential including the trail conditions and the ability of the participant. Safety first. This comes after a morning of intense instruction on how to interact and safely run a team of dogs. You will also participate in the day to day chores associated with a life shared with sled dogs. There will be plenty of cuddle time with our furry friends, of course!

Your adventure begins at 9AM and will last between seven and nine hours, depending upon how much time you’d like to spend helping with feeding and daily kennel chores at the end of the day.

Prior to your experience, we’ll chat with you about what you can expect and if you have any special needs of which we need to be aware. All of this is done so that your time with us can be most fulfilling. Here is a list of what to wear.

For optimal trail time, we suggest no more than 4 people, however, we can tailor the adventure to your group, so let’s chat! For the safety and enjoyment of the dogs, the musher and you, there is a weight limit in place of 275# per sled with no more than two people per sled. (1 adult/1 child, 2 smaller adults or 1 person in each sled)

Children under the age of 5 are invited to come along to meet the dogs, however, no one under the age of 5 will be allowed to ride in the sled.

Please email us or call to book your adventure! linda@points-unknown.com or 218.370.0283

This promises to be an experience of a lifetime!
